I read that the governor of Indiana was surprised that people in his state were upset at the idea of selling their major highway across the state to a pair of foreign firms. I understand that the state is not 'selling' the road outright, but only leasing it for some period of time. I also understand that the ports deal which aroused so much emotional fervor a few months back was also a time limited contract. What I don't understand is how someone could be bright enough to actually win an election for governor while still being so dim as to not see the comparison between the ports deal and the highway deal. I thought someone that clueless would have to run for President.
Hollywood is doing a lot of remakes these days. If they decide to remake Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles", I can suggest a good candidate for the part of the "Gov." No acting will be required.
